In the Centre for Design and international business studies of Business and Design are partly linked to each other for the purpose of interdisciplinary business value creation and multicultural competences. The Degree Programme in International Business offers global business understanding and skills especially through studies of successful business factors and marketing. The business studies emphasize market driven approaches for innovation. The theoretical studies are applied to the real case projects via learning by doing method. D’ART Design Resource Centre operates in the Design Business Centre as an important link between companies and other organizations. Real company-based projects or public sector organizational strategies and systems development form an integral part of the studies. As important methods D’ART Design Resource Centre applies INNOstudio® innovation services and user-driven Living Lab activities. Student specialization opportunities for building up a desirable labour market profile are provided by optional study modules, multidisciplinary company projects, entrepreneurship possibilities, work placements and studies abroad including the special possibility for a Winter School in St. Petersburg. Bachelor of Business Administration has work opportunities in tasks related to business management and consulting, marketing, export and import activities and product and service innovation. They can operate both in B to B and in consumer market companies or work as self-employed entrepreneurs.
